On Saturday Jim, his dad, and his brothers, took the fridge Babci and Pop had been holding for us in their basement out of their basement and over to our house to put into our basement. Tess, my sister, and I made dinner for the boys. We made pork chops, compliments of Aunt Anne, potatoes, green beans and pork and beans (which Tess ate all of). I say compliments of Aunt Anne because it was a recipe that was given to me at my shower. I am going to start using the recipes that I was given them. After dinner Tess and I made an assortment of pumpkin treats; pie cookies and bread. The bread didn't turn out so hot so I will have to try it again. I burnt the tops of all four loaves. The pie, from what I hear, was good and the cookies were awesome. I threw in some chocolate chips because everything tastes better with chocolate!! In my opinion anyway. After baking Lauren and Matt came over and we all carved pumpkins and watched some scary movies. Jim and I had bought a Winnie the Pooh carving book so Jim, Tess, and I did them. We carved Pooh, Roo, Rabbit, and Tigger. I messed up a little while poking the outline for Tigger so Jim finished it. The next morning Tigger didn't look so hot. Oh well! The rest of the gang looked awesome! Lauren and Matt just free handed it. We had a good night.
Tess slept over so the next morning when I woke up I made waffles and home fries. The home fries were pretty nasty because I used way too much oil! Later I drove Tess, her friend Eryn, Heather, adn myself over to Cherry Hill to visit family friends who were having an open house. That family has three daughters who are all the same age as me, Heather, and Tess. There was no sister for Julie but we were all friends growing up. The oldest had a baby over the summer so her and her husband had an open house at her dad's house for people to come visit. It was a nice time. I could only stay for a little bit because we were having dinner at Jim's parents' house before Eddie left to go back to his place. We had a nice roast dinner and hung out for a little bit. When we got home Jim fixed his car tire that had a flat and I fell asleep. I woke up, watched some tv and fell asleep again only to wake up when my alarm was blaring in my ear telling me it was time to go teach the little lovelies again! :) Hopefully this week flies by.
