Weekend

So we were supposed to go camping this weekend but Jim had an ear infection all week and still felt pretty bad so we ended up not going. Anyway, I got to work Friday morning and found out people were going to Happy Hour after work. I figured I would stop by after I dropped things we had bought for the weekend off at our friends' place. My sister asked me to pick her up after school on Friday and take her home. She lives at Gwynedd Mercy College so I said sure. She just turned 21 so I asked if she would want to go to Happy Hour with me. She agreed.

I picked her up and ran her to CVS to pick up a prescription. After waiting for an hour we left without the prescription. The insurance company was saying that she had not been insured since 2000. She has gotten x-rays and medicines since 2000 so that is absolutely not true! She just asked the pharmacist to transfer the prescription to the CVS near our parents' house so our dad could deal with it. I have to remember to ask her if she ever got her medicine. Then we headed up to my friends' place to drop the food off and ran over to Happy Hour.

By the time we got there it was 6:30. There were still some people there. A few people actually got there right before we did because they had been at different activities after school. We had a good time. Heather clicked with my friends which I liked. Usually when I go to Happy Hour after school I only stay for about an hour or so but we ended up leaving around 9:15!! I was totally not expecting that. Like I said, we were having a good time. There was a great Irish band playing so the place was packed. So much in fact that there was not a spot in the parking lot so I parked across the street at a Persian restaurant. I have never seen anyone in that place and there wasn't anyone in there that night either. Don't you know that one of the workers followed me into the bar and asked me to move the car!?! I was like are you for real?? Anyway, I went out to try to find somewhere else to park and another teacher and her husband were walking in. She said that there was parking behind the fire house across the street so that is where I ended up parking.

Saturday and Sunday we didn't do much. I tried to clean up a little bit. I got wash done, cleaned the bathroom and pretty much just sat around. I watched the Phillies loose on Saturday with Jim, my brother-in-law Rob, and Jim's cousin Rosie. I watched them win on Sunday so it was all good. We are now playing in the championships and then hopefully go to the World Sereies. I have high expectations for the Phils!!! :)

Yesterday the tennis team I help coach won and are now in first place. We have an excellent shot to win the championship which is on Friday. We have a playoff game on Wednesday and as long as no one on our team screws up I will be able to finally say I won a championship. I hope it happens this year because I promised my husband that this would be my last year coaching tennis. It takes up so much of my time. I will hopefully have a good update for the end of the week!
