Saturday Fun

On Saturday, after swim team practice, I came home and put stamps on all of my Christmas cards. Onyx helped and boy was it tough work!

Around 4:30 Jim and I headed to Franklin Mills to stop at a few stores. We ran into KB Toys to try to find the SpongeBob Monopoly game for Jim's godson. No luck! Next we ran over to Harbor Freights, a tool store, and Big Lots. I went into Big Lots to try to find the Monopoly Game and a toy for the little girl my class is buying gifts for but again, no luck. At least nothing worth waiting in the lines for! I started walking over to meet Jim at the tool store but stopped in a kiddie clothing store to see if there was anything I could get in there and I got the cutest outfit for my class outreach gift! It was only $15.00 too. I have to remember that store for the future.

Next we headed over to Nifty Fifty's for dinner. We got the best waiter in the joint. He is so happy and you can tell he loves his job. It is so refreshing to get a waiter like that, especially with times as they are!! After dinner we went to Lowe's to pick out crown molding, chair rails, and the baseboard for the dining room.. Here is what we picked.

This is the crown molding.

Here is the baseboard.

Here is the chair rail.

Earlier on Saturday Jim and his dad went out to MAB paints and bought the paint for the dining room. We decided on a darker green for underneath the chair rail and a shade lighter of the green for about the chair rail. The lighter green will also be in the living room. In the dining room the furniture will be dark brown and there will be purple accents, curtains, table cloth, ect.

After Lowe's went down the block and picked out or Christmas Tree. It was too dark outside to take pictures with my camera. We had fun though. We stopped at my mom and dad's to grab a bag of stuff they had for me and then went home. We stuck the tree out back until Sunday since the living room was a mess and there was no room for a tree!
