Saturday Night with the Hubby

After the swim team party I was home by myself for a bit. Jim came home around 3:30 from the gun show. Jim decided to go to the Valley Forge Gun show with his grandfather instead of hanging out with a bunch of high school girls. Anyway, when Jim got back I decided that I wanted to play a board game, however the ones we have need more than two players so we decided to risk the "Saturday before Christmas" crowds at Target. I only really wanted to buy Life but we ended up buying Life (The new electronic one), Yahtzee, Sequence, and Mancala! We also got a few other things we needed.

We came home, put Elf into the DVD player and started a couple rounds of Yahtzee. After Elf was over I stuck in It's A Wonderful Life. About half way through that movie we started Life. After pausing in between every turn to read the directions we finally got it. Jim and I both give the game an A+ and highly recommend it for a good Saturday night in. It allows you to make a lot more decisions during the course of the game than the old one did.

Here is what the new board looks like.

Here is the new and improved spinner. Nothing goes flying off the track mid spin anymore! You insert your credit card and the machine does all the adding, subtracting, and results to other Life chances. It is awesome!

After It's a Wonderful Life was over we stuck White Christmas in the DVD player and played another game of Life. The directions actually estimate how long your game will last. For example, if you enter in that you want to play for 30 years (or 30 turns) it says for a four player game it should last about an hour. Isn't that cool?

This is me in between games. I was lying on the couch nicely watching It's a Wonderful Life. I went to lift my head and realized I couldn't get it off of the pillow! My cartilage earring got caught in some strings on the pillow! Jim had to cut me free. Thank goodness he was here. I don't know what I would have done if I had been by myself!!! I am totally not being sarcastic either.
